What you can do is delete the game, delete the remaining Bloodlines folder from your steamapps\common\ folder, then redownload the game. Modding Bloodlines is super-finicky, and the answer is "no". Make sure you're wearing the best armor you can. Try pumping more stats into melee and other stats that would increase your defense and "soak" stats. You're having a hard time because of the balance changes introduced with the Plus patch. Other than that, there isn't much I can suggest. I can suggest turning on "Auto-Renew Abilities" so you don't have to constantly juggle reactivating Blood Heal/Buff and your disciplines, which can take more concentration than the actual fighting. My first playthrough was with Wesp's Plus patch, but I did not find it too difficult. Also, there is no blood-heal in the regular game, because your character automatically heals (albiet slowly). This change reinforces skillful character building.
He did this to make it harder, because the entire game became pretty easy after activating it (combat, lockpicking, stealth). In Wesp's Plus version patch, Blood Buff only increases the base stats (Strength, Dexterity, Stamina) by 2 points, instead of maxing them out (or increasing them by 5 - whichever). So does anybody have any advice? I like what I've played so far, but every time there's a combat section, the game just gets way less fun, and I don't feel like I can use skill to make the sections easier, almost to the point where I feel like I'm doing something wrong. The enemies also seem to just run straight at me, and I can't do much except either run away or hit them while getting hit by them I haven't really found a reliable way to block or dodge or just run in for a quick hit or anything like that. Part of it I guess is that blocking seems to do absolutely NOTHING I've never had a successful block, not with a sword, not with a baseball bat, nothing. I'm a Toreador class, and I've put a good amount of points into melee combat, strength, and defense, but the fights against the "Asian Vampire" and the Blood Guardian in the art gallery took a ton of tries, even when using the various vampire powers I have. Right now I'm still in the first section of the game on the warehouse bombing mission, but something I've noticed so far is that any kind of combat is REALLY hard for me.
